Freshly Sleeved #28 - What's that card really worth? Now you know

Buyers, this one is for you. Knowing what a card is really worth, in the language and condition you're actually holding, shouldn't take three tabs and a spreadsheet. Fair Price now gives every card its own value by finish, language and condition in Europe, and by finish and condition in the US. And because sellers can reprice their whole stock against it in a few taps, you'll see more Good deals and fewer cards sitting at fantasy prices. Also in this edition: a want list that works for you across the site, CardNexus in Claude and ChatGPT, a Chrome extension to bring your stock over from another marketplace, Yu-Gi-Oh! in the catalog, your favourite cards on your profile and a new way around the app. Plus a batch of improvements and a big app update.
🎯 Highlights
Fair Price: the value of your exact card (web & app)
A Near Mint English foil and a Played Italian non-foil of the same card never had the same value, but until now they shared one market value, so you could never tell whether a listing was a bargain or a rip-off. Fair Price fixes that: every card now has a value by finish, language and condition for European prices, and by finish and condition for US prices, where all languages share one value. We gather enough data on every card to run our own pricing algorithm, which weighs the specifics of each copy rather than averaging them away. You'll see it everywhere the value matters:
On the product page, a price grid by language and condition for European prices.
In your inventory, each line is valued at the Fair Price of its own finish, language and condition (finish and condition for US values), so your collection total finally reflects what you actually own.
When you sell: suggested prices, bulk pricing, percent-of-market CSV imports and the sell dialog's Fair Price tab follow the language and condition you pick.
In lists and good deals: list values use the Fair Price of the list's minimum condition, and "good deal" badges compare against it.
On your collection value chart (web & app), the previous market-trend value stays drawn as a dashed line next to the Fair Price value, so a change in how we value cards never looks like a move in your collection.
Sealed products too: boosters, boxes and bundles get one Fair Price per language, shown as a grid on their product page. And when a condition has no offers of its own, its Fair Price is estimated from the others, so no cell stays empty.
Now you can: open a listing for a Played German copy, see its Fair Price next to the asking price, and know in a second whether to buy.

Price check and Reprice: a whole stock at Fair Price in a few taps (app and webapp)
Sellers, this is Fair Price working for you. Price check looks at every card you have for sale and sorts them by how they sit against their market price: way above market, above market, at market, good deals, very low and no market price. Each group shows a count, the money at stake and one plain sentence, so you know in a glance where your stock is stuck. It also counts the cards in your collection that are worth listing. Open it from your inventory, your dashboard or cardnexus.com/price-check.
From any group, or any selection in your inventory, Reprice does the work:
Choose cards: the group you came from, one set, your selection, or everything for sale.
Choose a price: Sell fast (10% under market, shown to buyers as a Good deal), Market price, or your own percentage. Decide whether prices may only go down, only go up, or both, and never below your floor.
Also list, if you like, the cards that aren't for sale yet, at the same price level.
Review every change card by card before confirming: leave out a set, edit a single price, download the list. Then update; thousands of prices change in the background while you carry on.
Changed your mind? Undo puts the previous prices back for 7 days. The market value it compares against is the same Fair Price technology: in Europe, the value of each card's exact finish, language and condition; in North America, a value adjusted to the card's condition too. Graded cards are never touched.
For buyers, this means more cards at a fair price and more Good deals to browse.
Now you can: see that 400 of your cards sit 30% above market, put them at Sell fast in two taps, and watch them wear the Good deal badge minutes later.
TCG Stock Exporter: bring your stock over in minutes (Chrome extension, web)
Already selling on another marketplace? TCG Stock Exporter, our free Chrome extension, exports your own stock to a CSV that drops straight into the CardNexus importer. Conditions, languages and finishes already speak CardNexus, prices come along, and each line carries the marketplace's product ID so your cards match exactly, not by name. Open your stock page, pick the sets you want (or all of them), click Export stock to CSV and let it run: it paces itself, survives a closed tab and resumes where it stopped, even on a 40,000-line stock. Everything happens in your browser; nothing is sent to us. Works for Magic, Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, Star Wars: Unlimited, Riftbound and Flesh and Blood.
It works the other way too: connect your CardNexus account from the extension and download your whole CardNexus inventory, every game at once, as a CSV. You'll find the extension wherever you add cards on CardNexus: the add-cards menus, bulk import, the CSV importer and the integrations page.
Now you can: mirror three years of stock on CardNexus over a coffee, then run a Price check on it. Install TCG Stock Exporter.

Your want list (app and webapp)
Every product page now has Add to my wantlist, even when nobody is selling the card right now. Your want list is a single list, apart from your other lists, with up to 1,000 cards and sealed products, and it works for you across the site:
My want list page: every product you want, with the number of listings and the lowest price for each, split between "for sale" and "out of stock".
An In wantlist filter on search, game pages and seller shops, to see only what you're after.
The home page's From your lists block shows what's for sale from your lists and your want list, with Build my cheapest cart to fill a basket with the cheapest copies in one go.
Out of stock? The product page now shows Also available as (other printings) and You might also like instead of an empty box.
Now you can: add the three cards missing from your deck to your want list, come back next week, and see at a glance who listed them and at what price.
CardNexus in your AI: Claude, ChatGPT and more (web)
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code to your CardNexus account and run your hobby in plain words. Paste a 100-card decklist and ask for the cheapest way to buy it shipped to you: the assistant finds every card, compares each seller's price, shipping and fees, and fills your cart, up to 400 cards across sellers in one plan. Ask how a card's price moved over the last year, make an offer on a listing, or check whether your last order has shipped. Sellers can add cards to their inventory, ask what their collection is worth, find the listings priced above the market, reprice them with every change shown before it applies (and undo for 7 days), mark today's sales as shipped or message a buyer.
You stay in control: when you connect, you choose for each area (cart, offers, inventory, sales, messages) whether the assistant can see it, change it, or neither, and you can disconnect it any time from Settings → Integrations. The assistant never pays: it fills your cart, you check out on cardnexus.com. In Claude and ChatGPT, results show as cards with images, prices and an add-to-cart button. Setup takes a minute at cardnexus.com/ai, with a step-by-step guide for each assistant.
Now you can: drop your Commander decklist into Claude on your phone, get the cheapest cart across sellers, and pay on CardNexus.

Yu-Gi-Oh! joins the catalog (web & app)
As announced: Yu-Gi-Oh! is now in the CardNexus catalog, 839 sets and almost 60,000 cards, with Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG as its own game for Japanese, Korean and Asian-English prints. Type "yugioh" in the search bar and start listing your binder.

Favourite cards on your profile (web only for now)
Pick up to 5 cards from your inventory and show them off at the top of your profile. They appear in a fan in your profile header, in a favourites dialog where visitors can look closer, and on your dashboard. Edit them from the dialog, from Settings → Profile, or straight from a card's menu in your inventory: pick, replace, remove, drag to reorder.
Now you can: put your Charizard, your signed Jace and your graded Luffy front and centre for everyone who lands on your shop.

A new way around the app: For you, Search, Sell, Shop, Profile (app)
The app gets a new tab bar built around what you do most. For you replaces the home tab with a feed made for buyers: cards and sealed products for you, your recently viewed products and the categories you browse, with a starting point while your collection is still empty. Search gets its own tab. Sell opens a sheet with the three ways to list: scan your cards, find one by name, or pick several from your collection at once. Shop is the marketplace, and Profile gathers your inventory, lists, want list, sales, purchases and settings in one place. The tab bar now stays with you while you browse, so you can jump from a card to your collection to the shop without going back; it only steps aside for focused tasks like scanning, checkout or editing. Your want list comes to the app too: tap the heart on any card.

✨ Improvements & fixes
Browsing
A new home page and game pages (web): listings first, a small hero, and shelves ranked for you: Hot deals, Just listed, New set, Sellers you bought from, Recently viewed, Sealed, Graded, then a "More for you" grid. Game pages get the same shelves for their game, with the newest sets and product types in one row each.
Browse a seller's shop by game (web): landing on a shop now shows a search bar, their Top offers, one tile per game with card and sealed counts, then product types and sets, before the full grid.
Smarter search (web): search understands more of what you type and gets you to the right place faster.
Daily movers in the header (web): a rolling ticker at the top of the site shows the day's biggest price moves in your games; click a card to open it. It takes the place of the referral contest link, which now lives in the footer.
Foil effects, your call (web): a new switch in Settings → Preferences → Display turns the shiny card effects off.
Selling
A better order page (web): the items table is rebuilt with photos, the listing comment and, for sellers, the internal note and an Owned column showing how many copies you had before the sale. Choose your columns, the choice is saved.
Sender address for every seller (web & app): set the name and address printed on your packing slip from your shipping settings, with suggestions as you type.
Ace Grading supported (web): list, filter and browse slabs graded by Ace Grading (UK) on its 1–10 scale, with the certificate lookup and the Ace shield on graded cards.
Prices
Sorcery: Contested Realm has European values (web & app): every Sorcery card now carries a European market value next to its US one, so collection totals, suggested prices and good deals work for Sorcery in Europe too.
Pokémon prices, corrected: Reverse Holo and Holo Rare European values were off for some cards; they are now valued correctly, no longer under- or over-valued.
And more
Added many smaller fixes, UI improvements, and performance optimizations across the platform and mobile app: smoother product pages, breadcrumbs through seller shops, sort respected on inventory search, French accounts onboarded in French.
📱 Mobile app
Bulk import, in your pocket. Add a whole set, a deck or a shoebox to your inventory from the app: build an import by filters (set, finish, type, colour…), by pasting a list of card names with quantities, or card by card, set the condition, language and price defaults, edit anything before confirming, and save a draft to finish later. CSV files still go through the website, and the app hands the draft over.
A calmer scanner. The card image no longer flickers while the details load, and the scanner stops re-adding the same card when it stays in front of the camera.
A home for every game. Tap a game and land on its hub: card and sealed counts, the newest sets, sealed products, what was just listed, and the full set list one tap away.
Become a seller without leaving the app. Set up your seller account in the app: country, seller type, address and the Stripe steps, in one flow, with a reminder on the home screen until it's done.
Better browsing. Hot deals when you're short of inspiration for a list, refreshed listing cards, clearer empty states and smoother seller shop browsing.
